Tata Aeris Launched at Rs 5.29 Lakh: Price, Features and Specs
Tata Motors has launched the Tata Aeris, its new sub-four-metre sedan and replacement for the Tigor, at an introductory Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are now open, with deliveries scheduled to begin from October 11, 2026.
The Aeris retains the familiar compact-sedan mechanical package but gets a substantially refreshed exterior and a Tiago-inspired cabin, along with more equipment including ventilated front seats, wireless charging and a 360-degree camera with dashcam functionality.

Tata Aeris Price and Variants
The Aeris is available in five trims. Petrol prices start at Rs 5.29 lakh and extend to Rs 8.19 lakh, while CNG versions start at Rs 6.29 lakh and go up to Rs 9.19 lakh. AMT pricing has not yet been announced, although the automatic option will be offered on variants above the base Smart trim.

Design and Exterior
The Aeris gets a sharper front-end inspired by the Tiago, with slimmer LED headlamps, eyebrow-style DRLs, a gloss-black grille and revised bumpers with pixel-shaped LED fog lamps. Higher versions get 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while lower and CNG variants use smaller 14-inch wheels.
At the rear, the sedan gets slimmer LED tail-lamps connected visually by a red trim. The car measures 3,995mm long, with a 2,450mm wheelbase and 170mm ground clearance. Six colours are available: Dandeli Drizzle, Nitro Crimson, Dune Glow, Daytona Grey, Pure Grey and Pristine White.

Interior and Features
The cabin follows the latest Tiago’s design direction, with a lighter interior, two-spoke steering wheel and digital driver display. A 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control and wireless charging are also available.
Ventilated front seats, rear AC vents, auto-folding ORVMs, keyless entry and push-button start add to the equipment list. A useful addition is the DashCam Recorder, which uses the surround-view camera system to record footage.
Petrol and CNG Engine Options
The Aeris uses a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine producing 86hp and 113Nm. The factory-fitted twin-cylinder CNG version produces 76hp and 97Nm. Both powertrains can be paired with a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT, subject to variant.
The dual-cylinder CNG layout also helps preserve usable luggage space. The petrol Aeris offers 419 litres of boot space, while the CNG version is expected to retain around 227 litres. This makes the CNG packaging one of the more practical aspects of the new sedan.

Safety Features
Six airbags are standard across the range, while higher variants add electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, TPMS, rain-sensing wipers and rollover mitigation. The top-end safety package also includes a 360-degree camera with blind-view monitoring.
Tata Aeris: What Buyers Get
The Aeris is essentially a Tigor replacement with a new identity rather than an entirely new mechanical package. Tata has concentrated the changes on styling, cabin technology, comfort equipment and safety while retaining the familiar 1.2-litre petrol and CNG powertrains.
At Rs 5.29 lakh, the entry price puts the Aeris into direct consideration alongside compact sedans such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze, while the CNG-AMT combination gives Tata another configuration for city-focused buyers.
