How to pay bills using WhatsApp

Once Bill Payments becomes available on your WhatsApp account, the process can be completed from the Payments section. Follow these steps:

-Open WhatsApp on your Android phone or iPhone.

-Tap the ₹ icon at the top of the WhatsApp home screen.

-Select the bill category you want to pay.

-Choose your biller or service provider from the available list.

-Enter your customer, consumer or account details and confirm them.

-Check the bill amount and other details fetched by WhatsApp.

-Select your preferred payment option, such as UPI, debit card or credit card.

-Review the details and confirm the payment.

What else does WhatsApp Bill Payments offer?

WhatsApp is also adding features to make recurring bill payments easier. Bills can be pre-fetched, while billers that have previously been used through WhatsApp can appear on the Payments Home screen for quicker access.

Users can also keep multiple accounts under a single biller. This means separate accounts for a home, office or family member can be managed through the same provider instead of being handled individually.

The Payments Home screen can also highlight frequently used bill categories. Users can tap the “See All” option to browse the wider selection of supported services.
