Design and Build

The OPPO Reno 16 Series introduces a refreshed design with what OPPO calls its HoloVerse 3D design. Available in the Starry White finish, the rear panel uses a dual-layer optical structure and microscopic lenses to create a floating visual effect that changes as light falls on the device. Both smartphones also feature a redesigned one-piece camera module and an aerospace-grade aluminium frame that gives the phones a premium look and feel.

Durability has also received an upgrade. The Reno 16 Series carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for protection against dust, water immersion and high-pressure water exposure. These certifications are designed to improve reliability during everyday use and provide additional protection in challenging environments.

Display

The two smartphones offer different display sizes while maintaining a similar viewing experience. The OPPO Reno 16 features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and up to 1,800 nits HBM brightness, delivering smooth scrolling and improved outdoor visibility.

The OPPO Reno 16c comes with a slightly larger 6.57-inch AMOLED display, also supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The larger panel offers additional screen space for watching videos, gaming and multitasking while retaining the same responsive display experience.

Cameras

Photography remains one of the biggest highlights of the Reno lineup. The OPPO Reno 16 features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera supporting 3.5x optical zoom. This combination is designed to capture landscapes, portraits and distant subjects with greater flexibility.

The Reno 16c retains the 50MP primary and 50MP telephoto cameras but replaces the ultra-wide camera with an 8MP sensor. Both smartphones include a 50MP autofocus front camera with a 100-degree field of view, making them suitable for selfies, video calls and group photos.
