Battery And Charging Features
Battery capacity is one of the biggest talking points of the Redmi Turbo 5.
The smartphone packs a 7,540mAh battery, which is considerably larger than what is typically seen in many premium smartphones today. Xiaomi has paired it with 100W HyperCharge support, and the charger is included inside the retail box.
The phone also supports 27W reverse charging, allowing users to charge compatible accessories such as wireless earbuds, smartwatches or other devices when needed.
For users who spend long hours travelling, attending meetings, gaming or consuming content on the go, battery life remains one of the most important buying considerations. Xiaomi appears to be positioning the Redmi Turbo 5 directly toward that audience.
Display And Performance
The Redmi Turbo 5 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness.
The high brightness level is designed to improve visibility in outdoor conditions, while the 120Hz refresh rate helps deliver smoother scrolling and animations across supported apps.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The processor is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
On the software side, the Redmi Turbo 5 runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 straight out of the box. Xiaomi has confirmed that the device will receive four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, a commitment that places it among the better-supported devices in its category.

Camera And Multimedia Features
For photography, the Redmi Turbo 5 is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera featuring Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) support.
The main sensor is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera, while the front of the device houses a 20MP selfie camera for video calls and self-portraits.
Xiaomi has also included dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and Hi-Res Audio certification, offering a more immersive multimedia experience for users who regularly stream videos, movies or music.
Durability And Protection
The Redmi Turbo 5 carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water under tested conditions.
These ratings are becoming increasingly important as buyers expect smartphones to handle accidental exposure to rain, dust and everyday environmental conditions without concern.
The inclusion of multiple protection ratings helps strengthen the Redmi Turbo 5’s overall feature package, particularly for users who spend a significant amount of time outdoors.
